Film Production: Film pitch and name ideas

The pitch for our film

Our film is about a catholic pregnant girl in her late teens/ early 20’s who is in an abusive relationship trying to get out. The film is set in the 1980’s and challenges the ideas about abortion in abusive relationships.  The film is a thriller film and follows many conventions and forms found in other thriller films. The girl runs away but is later captured and kidnapped for the duration of her pregnancy. Can she get out and save her unborn child?

From this results we could see that the clear favourites were: 'Dangerous intentions' and 'Cry for help'.

After talking to other students in our class we found that another group have decided to name our film: 'The night i cried for help'. We feel that our proposed title: 'Cry for help' is too similar and therefore we have decided to go for the title: 'Dangerous intentions'.

I really like this title and am happy that we are using this title because i think that it complies with many thriller conventions as it portrays that the film is going to be about dangerous and has the thriller element.
